LCDR Patric Jang, USN
Lieutenant Commander Patric Jang is a native of Anaheim, California and a 2011 graduate of University of California, San Diego with a Bacher of Science in Aerospace Engineering. He received his commission after attending Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. He earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Carnegie Mellon University.
Lieutenant Commander Jang’s first sea tour was on USS Nebraska (SSBN 739)(BLUE). There he served as the Tactical Systems Officer and Assistant Operations Officer. During his tour, the ship completed Engineered Refueling Overhaul and returned to strategic service. He served as Navigator/Operations Officer in USS Florida (SSGN 728)(GOLD), where the crew earned two Submarine Squadron 16 Battle “E” awards while conducting two EUCOM deployments and a WESTPAC deployment.
Ashore, he served as a submarine operations officer for Commander, Destroyer Squadron 15 deploying aboard USS Ronald Reagan as part of Commander, Carrier Strike Group 5, and as a special operations officer for Commander, Submarine Forces Pacific.
His personal decorations include a Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals (four awards), and a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
