We stopped by here right before I started my Department Head tour on a submarine. I had just finished SOAC (Submarine Officer Advanced Course), and we were driving down to Kings Bay, GA for permanent change of station. As we were traveling south of east coast, we decided to stop by DC (possible future stop, always possible to get stationed here). I called my high school friend Kelly to get some recommendation on restaurants nearby and this was one of her recommendations.

I thought it was interesting that someone would recommend "pho" for a big city like Washington DC, usually people try to recommend some higher end food. But you know, we've been friends for a while, she always gives good recommendations and she's also lived all over the place - and we love PHO!

and boy, it did not disappoint...

We've tried a lot of pho places.... this is number one by far!

Service is faaaaaast. Other than that, nothing different from other Vietnamese places.

I can't wait to go to Vietnam one day and try the real ones though...
