Diamond Head
Iconic volcanic crater hike featuring a mix of paved paths, tunnels, and stairs leading to panoramic views over Waikīkī and the south shore;

Iconic, probably one of the most popular hike paths, and great view of Waikiki
Makapuʻu Point Lighthouse Trail
Easy paved coastal hike with sweeping ocean views and possible whale sightings;

Elevation Gain: ~500 ft.

Koko Crater Railway Trailhead
Steep stair-like climb up an old railway with no shade and rewarding summit views;

Non-stop steps.. my legs almost gave out, although Sinae made it to the top just fine. Definitely go during sunrise or sunset times.
Manoa Falls Trail
Lush rainforest hike leading to a popular waterfall;

Elevation Gain: ~800 ft.

This was close to the house and just really felt jungle-like. Definitely easy, also leads to another hike path called 'Aihualama trail. Will try that next time
Wiliwilinui Ridge Trail
Steady ridge climb with panoramic Koʻolau views;

Elevation Gain: ~1,600 ft.

My legs also almost gave out, again Sinae made it just fine.. there are some unshaded areas that just kill during sunny hours. Great view at the end.
A'iea Loop Trail
Shaded forest loop with occasional overlooks of Pearl Harbor;
Time: 2–3 hours;
Difficulty: Easy–Moderate;
Elevation Gain: ~900 ft.

Can see the valley at the furthest end of the loop. Lush forest loop, need good hiking shoes as it could be muddy. Some people jog in this area.
Puʻu O Hulu (Pink Pillbox) Trail
Easy to moderate west-side ridge hike known for colorful pillboxes and sunset views;

Elevation Gain: ~500 ft.

First west-side ridge hike. Rather quick, a lot of sun, minimal shades.
Hanauma Bay Ridge Trail
Short ridge hike above the bay offering stunning panoramic views of Hanauma Bay’s turquoise waters and surrounding coastline;
